MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION (cont’d)
TIRE REPLACEmENT (cont’d)
There are many different compounds of tires used on our equipment.
We have standard components that we use on the various models
of trucks. Just because we use something as a standard, it does not
necessarily mean that compound is the best for your application. If
there are complaints of traction or failures, etc., maybe your application
requires another type of tire. Always use only OEM tires and sizes.
Contact your local authorized dealer for more information.
TIRE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
In order to install the tire assembly to the transmission, there are ve
nuts that are used for mounting to the output shaft.
Tighten the ve nuts in a pattern of every other nut. This will ensure the
assembly is ush with the output shaft.
All wheel nuts must be torqued to 135 Nm/100 ft-lbs.
After the nuts are torqued, look into the center of the wheel hub and
make sure the hub is ush against the output shaft.
