STEERHEAD AND TILLER ASSEMBLY (cont’d)
SIDETRACKER OPTION - 2W2 ONLY
This optional feature was designed for the operator's convenience when
the unit is to be used as an order selector. This system is two options
combined so that the unit will coast along side of the operator while
items are being picked and loaded onto a pallet.
The rst option is coast control, which is described on page 29. This
option holds the steer tiller arm from fully raising to apply the brakes
automatically. The steer till arm will be held in an operation position (as
shown below) so the operator may easily reach the steerhead without
having to either bend over or walk in front of the unit. Coast control
may be used without the sidetracker option but the sidetracker must be
used in conjunction with the coast control in order to function.
• Before you attempt to operate this unit with the sidetracker
option, you must read and fully understand this Operator's
Manual and be fully trained in the safe and proper operation
of powered industrial trucks.
• The operator should test this optional feature in a clear area
before attempting to go into the work area or aisle.
Operation
1. Always pick up pallet(s) and raise the load carrying device (forks)
fully before engaging or using coast control and sidetracker option.
2. Travel to work area or aisle.
