MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION (cont’d)
FORK INSPECTION
Ensure the forks and linkage are not damaged or loose.
Forks in use shall be inspected at intervals of not more than
12 months.
FORK REPAIR
Repair - Only the manufacturer of the fork or an expert of equal
competence shall decide if a fork may be repaired for continued use,
and the repairs shall only be carried out by such parties.
CHECKING HORN
Check the horn for proper operation.
CHECKING LIGHTS (OPTION)
Mark sure that lights illuminate when switches are placed into the "ON"
position.

CHECKING SAFETY START SYSTEm OPERATION
Check the safety start system in a clear area away from other forklifts
and personnel.
With the battery connected and the ignition switch in the "OFF"
position, move the tiller handle into the operating position. Rotate
thumb control to either the forward or reverse direction. Turn ignition
switch to the "ON" position, the unit should not move but will display an
alarm code in the MDI, or ECO panel.
If unit starts to travel shut it down, turn ignition switch to the "OFF"
position, unplug the battery and tack it out of service. Contact your
Local Authorized Dealer to repair unit.
FUSES
Remove all jewelry.
Make sure the ignition switch is "OFF" and
disconnect the battery before changing any
components or disconnecting any wiring. This
will reduce the possibility of damage to the
controller system.
Visually check if the fuse is blown. Before replacing any
malfunctioning fuse, check and correct the cause of the
malfunction. Use a fuse of the specied rating which is
clearly shown on the label.
