GENERAL CARE AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
HYDRAULIC OIL LEVEL
Check the oil level in the hydraulic oil
reservoir. The oil level should be at the
bottom of the elbow for the breather
cap (ll tube), when forks are fully
lowered.
REFILLING HYDRAULIC OIL
Remove the front vent
plug. This vent allows easy
relling of the reservoir.
The reservoir takes
approximately 2 quarts (1.9
liters) of hydraulic uid, pour
the specied hydraulic oil
into the ll tube until the oil
level is in the proper area
(refer to page 65).
NOTE:
When lling the reservoir, make sure the cylinder is fully lowered.
Do not use any hydraulic oil other than those specied by
the OEM, otherwise it may cause not only deterioration in the
performance of the forklift but could result forks not lifting or
staying raised.
Carefully add the hydraulic oil so as not to mix dust and
foreign substances in the oil.
TIRE REPLACEMENT
There are many different sizes and compounds of drive tires used. Our
standard size tire is 10” x 5” x 6-1/2”.
Caution must always be exercised when pressing a new tire
onto the hub. The dimensions from the face of the hub to the
edge of the tire is very important in the operation of the truck,
to clear the transmission housing.
If pressing and dimensions are not maintained and the tire does rub the
transmission, this could cause any of the following to occur:
A bond failure from heat.
Transmission housing could be worn beyond repair causing gears
to fail.
Drive motor damaged due to excessive amp. draw.
Electrical components fail due to excessive amp. draw and/or heat.
