Steering Cylinder Assembly
A
SSEMBLY
1. Lubricate and install new rod wiper, U-cup,
O-ring, and backup ring on the headcaps.
2. Install one headcap onto the shaft.
3. Install the new piston rings and O-ring on
the piston.
4. Lubricate the piston seal with clean
hydraulic fluid, and install the shaft assem-
bly in the cylinder barrel.
5. Install the other head cap into the cylinder
barrel, and tighten both head caps.

NSTALLATION
1. Position the cylinder assembly in the chas-
sis and secure with capscrews, washers,
and locknuts.
2. Insert pivot pins and secure with retaining
rings.
3. Connect the hose assemblies to the fit-
tings.
4. Operate the steering circuit several times
throughout its entire range of travel to
expel trapped air, then check for leaks.
