6. From the Encoded Value list, select the amount of information to include in the barcode for each exam.
Where the selection allows it, a > symbol precedes the measured volume if the bladder extends outside
the scan area or if the pubic bone obstructs a portion of the bladder.

7. From the Prefix and Suffix boxes, select the control characters that the system should add before and
after the information:
• Carriage Return
• Line Feed
• Carriage Return & Line Feed
• Tab
• None
If necessary, contact the administrator of your facility’s EHR or EMR system to verify what control
characters the system needs.
8. When you are finished configuring settings, tap Back twice. This saves your settings and returns the
console to the Home screen.
