Before Attaching Embroidery Unit
ATTACH THE EMBROIDERY FOOT
1. Raise presser foot lifter.
2. Turn hand wheel toward you until needle is in its highest
position.
3. Remove presser foot screw, presser foot and foot holder.
4. Attach the embroidery presser foot behind presser bar
so that the drive lever is above the needle clamp. Secure
it by tightening presser foot screw.
5. Turn hand wheel toward you to move needle up and
down, and check that the embroidery presser foot moves
up and down together with the needle.
CAUTION
Always be sure to turn off power to machine before
changing presser foot.

THREAD YOUR MACHINE
see page 11-16.
Thread your machine with top thread in the À rst color to
be used in the embroidery.
Note: It is recommended to do the threading before data transferring.
A large amount of thread is required for embroidering, so
be sure to use full bobbin. Pull up the bobbin thread.
