6.1 Initialising the reader and program-
ming MASTER smart cards
This procedure generates a MASTER code, associates it with
the address selected by the dip-switches on the reader/pro-
grammer being initialised, and copies it to the desired MAS-
TER smart cards.
Important!
During this phase, always program several copies of the
MASTER smart card (to be kept in a safe place), because
it will not be possible to make duplicates at a later time.

Power up the reader.

Place dip-switch 3 in the ON position.

Place dip-switch 2 in the ON position.
The LED lights up yellow.
6.1.3
Select the desired address (see “Address
selection” table on page 6).
In the example, address A was used.
