8.1 Initialising the reader as an elec-
tronic switch, and programming
MASTER smart cards
This procedure configures the reader as an electronic pow-
er switch, generates a MASTER code and copies it to the
desired MASTER smart cards, including those already pro-
grammed for access control.
Important!
During this phase, always program several copies of the
MASTER smart card (to be kept in a safe place), because
it will not be possible to make duplicates at a later time.
8. Operation as an electronic power switch
with MASTER smart card
Use as an electronic power switch in the
residential and services sectors, and in the
hotel sector:
• Operation as an electronic power switch
Insertion of a MASTER or SLAVE smart card causes the
relay contact to close; the contact then reopens when the
smart card is removed (it is possible to choose between
immediate opening of the contact, or after a 50-second
delay).
