Fuel lines
Fuel level
Condition of oil cooler and radiator cooling fins
Water level in tank
Air cleaner
Additional daily tasks
Check for loose or missing fasteners. Replace as needed.
Make sure scraper bars are clean and properly adjusted.
Clean the transmitter and receiving eyes.
Check that receiving eyes blink rapidly when approached by the opera-
tor.
Check that the articulated joint locking bar is in the storage position.
Check that the SmartControl
TM
transmitter module and the machine’s de-
coder module are set to the same control channel.
Before operating
Check the machine for fluid leaks. Repair them before operating.
Unlock the articulated steering joint.
Adjust the drum scraper position.
Check the work area for obstructions. Remove all obstructions.
Check that all handles, steps, and platforms are free of dirt, snow,
grease, fuel, or anything else which might endanger operator safety.
Allow the engine to warm up according to the following schedule:
Ambient temperature Time (minutes)
Above 0°C (32°F) 5
Below 0°C (32°F) 15

1) More time may be required if hydraulic controls are sluggish.

Certain job site conditions or operating practices may adversely affect ma-
chine stability.
Follow the instructions below to reduce the risk of tipping or falling inci-
dents.
Surface conditions
Pay attention to changing surface conditions while operating the machine.
Adjust speed and travel direction as necessary to maintain safe operation.
