6.21 Starting, Operating, and Stopping the Machine
WARNING
Crushing hazard or machine damage
The roller's sensing system will not stop the roller from moving when the
transmitter is in the storage compartment or on the side of the roller.
► When operating from the side of the machine, always maintain a dis-
tance of at least 2m (6.6 ft) from the machine.
► Never operate the machine with the transmitter in the storage compart-
ment.
WARNING
Personal injury hazard
► Stop the machine if people enter in the work area of the machine.
Requirements
• Machine is in serviceable condition and has been properly maintained
• There is fuel in the tank
Starting the machine
1. Set the throttle switch (1) to the low (turtle) position.
