By turning the two adjustment bolts, the
position of the brake pads in relation to the
braking surface of the rim can be adjusted.
Clockwise rotation moves the brake pad away
from the rim on the respective side. When
turned anti-clockwise, the brake pad moves
towards the rim. Turning an adjustment bolt
also aects the position of the brake pad on
the opposite side.
Adjust the pads so that the left and right dis-
tances to the rim are equal.
The adjustment bolts must never be completely unscrewed during adjustment!
Adjusting the brake cable
If the brake lever touches the handlebar grip when the brake is applied or the bite point of
the brake is too close to the handlebar grip, the brake cable can be adjusted by following
the instructions below.
The brake cable is adjusted via the adjustment bolts on the brake levers and the clamp
bolts on the brake arms. If the required brake cable adjustment cannot be made using the
adjustment bolts on the brake levers, the brake cable must be readjusted using the clamp
bolts on the brake arms.
After adjusting the brake pads, tighten the brake
pad retaining bolts to the required torque and
check the function of the brake.
