Keeping the P rinter

Cleaning the Separation Pawls
The separation pawls are attached to the fusing unit, which is located
to the left of and beneath the drum and cleaning unit compartment.
3 Wipe the top of the
quenching lamp
with a clean water-
dampened cloth.
4 Reinsert the quenching lamp.
» Note: Be sur e to in sert the quenching lamp properly since it will
damage the drum if inserted incorrectly. Make su r e the slots
on eac h side of the quenching lamp align with th e g uide trac k s.
5 Leave the front cover open for cleaning the separation pawls.
WA RNING!
The fusing unit is ver y hot. Yo u mu st tur n th e p rinter o ff
and allo w the fusing unit to cool for at least 40 minutes befor e
cleaning. If you r printing ne eds do n ot allow y o u to let th e prin ter cool
fo r 40 m in utes, u se a p iece o f thick clo th to pr otec t yo ur skin fro m the
heat while rem oving the fusing unit.
ACHTUNG!

oder rein igen wollen , schalten Sie bitte den Dru cker au s u nd lassen Sie
die Fusin g Unit min destens 4 0 Min uten abk ühlen . We n n Ihr
Arbeitsablauf es nic ht zu läß t, daß der Dru c ker 40 Minuten nic h t
genutz t werd en kann , verwe n den Sie bitte einen dick e n Stofflappe n
oder Arbeitsh andsc h u h e, um Ihre Ha ut vor de r Hitz e zu schützen,
während Sie die Fusing U n it r einig en oder au sbaue n.
