6 Laser Malfunction RAP
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Disconnect the power cord from the customer supply
while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can cause death or injury. Moving
parts can cause injury.
Description
• The laser output exceeds the upper limit value.
• The laser output remains lower than the lower limit value.
• The Start Scan signal is not detected at all within a predetermined period of time after the
laser has been turned ON.
• The Start Scan signal is turned OFF.

Checks and Causes Solutions
1. Check cables for connection. 1. Tighten loose connections and correct con-
nections as necessary.
2. Check the ROS (PL 11, Wiring Diagram 2). 2. Install a new ROS (PL 11).
3. Install a new Main PBA (PL 5).
4. If the Laser Malfunction still occurs, Install a
new CPU (PL 5).
