Setting the machine
Main settings
At the first power on, set up the machine settings, such as date and time, the network
type, and language.
Before transmission
Date/Time
Change the date and time on the machine at any time. The machine uses a 12 hour
clock so you will need to set the time and either AM or PM.
To change the date and time:
M 211 OK - SETUP / DATE/TIME / MODIFY
¾ Enter the date and time, (for example November 8 2006 at 9h33, press
0811060933) and press OK to confirm.
To set AM or PM:
M 21 OK - SETUP / DATE/TIME / AM/PM
¾ Select AM or PM and press OK to confirm.
Your fax number/your name
Set the machine to SENDING HEADER (refer to Technical parameters on page 4-7)
and enter your details to print your fax number on all outgoing documents.
To save your fax number and your name:
M 22 OK - SETUP / NUMBER/NAME
¾ Enter your fax number (20 digits max.) and press OK to confirm.
¾ Enter your name (20 characters max) and press OK to confirm.
Type of network
Connect the machine to either a PSTN or private network such as a private automatic
branch exchange (PABX). The network selected must match the connected network.
To select the type of network:
M 2511 OK - SETUP / NETWORKS / TEL. NETWORK / NETWORK TYPE
¾ Select option PABX or PSTN then press OK to confirm.
Geographical settings
Use these settings to localise the machine.
