To select the way you want to feed the documents:
M 232 OK - SETUP / SEND / MEMORY SEND
¾ Select MEMORY or FEEDER and press OK to confirm your choice.
Note: In feeder mode, the reduced image will not appear on the transmission
report.
Economy period
This function defers a fax transmission to "off-peak hours" and reduces the cost of the
transmissions.
The economy period, via the telephone network (at off-peak hours), is preset by
default from 7.00 pm to 7.30 am but can be changed.
Modifying the economy period:
M 233 OK - SETUP / SEND / ECO PER.
¾ Enter the hours of the new economy period and confirm the selection with OK.
Using the economy period:
M 32 OK - FAX / ECO TRANS.
¾ Enter the call number and press OK to confirm.
Before reception
Fax answering machine
The Fax answering machine stores confidential documents rather than printing them.
The "Message Fax" indicator light displays the status of the Fax answering machine:
Light on: the answering machine is on.
Blinking: the fax has documents in storage or is in the process of receiving faxes.
Light off: memory full, the fax cannot receive any more documents.
Document confidentiality is assured by using the 4 digit access code. Once saved,
access code is required to:
print fax messages in memory,
activate or deactivate the fax answering machine.
Saving an access code
M 383 OK - FAX / FAX ANSW. / ANSWER CODE
¾ Enter the code (4 digits) and press OK to confirm the code.
