TROUBLE SHOOTING
● Any of the following fail to light:
Flasher light, brake light and indicator light.
● The horn fails to sound.
NOTE:
Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1.Seat
2.Fuel tank
3.Headlight unit
CHECKING THE SIGNALING SYSTEM
The horn fails to sound.
1. Check the fuse
(Main, ignition, signal, taillight)
Refer to “CHECKING THE FUSES” on
page 7-86.
NG→ Replace the fuse(s).
OK↓
2. Check the battery.
Refer to
“CHECKING AND CHARG-
ING THE BATTERY” on page 7-87.
NG→
Clean the battery terminals.
Recharge or replace the battery.
OK↓
3. Check the main switch.
Refer to
“CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 7-81.
NG→ Replace the main switch.
OK↓
4. Check the entire signaling system’s
wiring.
Refer to
“CIRCUIT DIAGRAM” on page
7-19.
NG→
Properly connect or repair the signaling sys-
tem’s wiring.
OK↓
This circuit is OK.
1. Check the horn switch.
Refer to
“CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 7-81.
NG→ Replace the handlebar switch.
OK↓
2. Check the horn.
Refer to
“CHECKING THE HORN” on
page 7-95.
NG→ Replace the horn.
OK↓
3. Check the entire signaling system’s
wiring.
Refer to
“CIRCUIT DIAGRAM” on page
7-19.
NG→
Properly connect or repair the signaling sys-
tem’s wiring.
OK↓
