Any other use beyond the intended use and/or other use of this product
can lead to dangerous situations and is prohibited.
The CPU iC921xM-x is constructed and produced for:
n industrial use.
n general control and automation tasks.
n industrial network communication, machine and process control.
n the connection to EtherCAT and PROFINET (optional).
n the installation in a control cabinet with degree of protection IP54 or better.
n operation within the environmental conditions specified in the technical data.

This device is not certified for applications:
– in explosive environments (EX-zone)
The manual must be available for:
n Project design department
n Installation department
n Commissioning
n Operation

The following conditions must be met before using or commis-
sioning the components described in this manual:
– Changes to the automation system may only be made when the
power supply is disconnected!
– Installation and hardware modifications only by properly trained per-
sonnel.
– The national rules and regulations of the respective country must be
satisfied (installation, safety, EMC ...)
