Using the PtP functionality the RS485 interface is allowed to connect via serial point-to-
point connection to dif
ferent source res. target systems.

– STX/ETX
– 3964R
– USS
– Modbus master (ASCII, RTU)
n Serial bus connection
– Full-duplex Four-wire operation (RS422)
– Half-duplex Two-wire operation (RS485)
– Data transfer rate: max 115 kBaud
A hardware configuration to enable the PtP functionality is not necessary.
1. Turn off the power supply.

Mount the extension module.
