Route-leaking
Attatchbit:TheRFC1195denesthatifanL1/L2routerinanareaisconnectedwitha
routerinanotherarea,theL1/L2routersetstheATTbitinitsL1LSPtoinformtheL1
routerinthisareathatthereisanegress.theL1routerinthisareaselectsthenearestL2
onwhichtheATTbitissetastheegressofthearea,andthenadefaultrouteisgenerated.
TheL1routerselectsthenearestL1/L2routerastheegressofthisarea,butthenearest
routeisnotnecessarilytheoptimumroute,thesecondoptimumroutemaybeused.
Therefore,theRFC2966denedtheroute-leaking.Toavoidtheuseofsecondoptimum
route,theroutinginformationinthebackboneareaisleakedtotheLevel–1area.Using
thismethod,thecommonareasalsohavetheroutinginformationoftheentireIS-ISroute
domain.
