4.3 Setting Up a Secure Wireless Network
This tutorial is an example of setting up a wireless network to have wireless Internet access. In this wireless
network, the Zyxel Device serves as an access point (AP), and the notebook is the wireless client. The
wireless client can access the Internet through the AP.
You have to configure the wireless network settings on the Zyxel Device. You can set up a wireless
network using WPS (Section 4.3.2 on page 33) or manual configuration (Section 4.3.3 on page 37).
4.3.1 Configuring the Wireless Network Settings
This example uses the following parameters to set up a wireless network.
1 Click Network Settings > Wireless to open the General screen.
2 Select Enable to activate the wireless network.
3 Enter the SSID name in Wireless Network Name.
4 Select More Secure as the security level and WPA-PSK as the security mode. Configure the screen using
the provided parameters (see page 31). Click Apply.
