9.12.4.1 Updating the phone firmware
• Back up the IPS card firmware on a directory on the PC.
• Copy the new firmware to the \tftpboot directory of the remote site.These firmwares are
available either on the CDROM software of the concerned product (NCS, NSAP, NeXspan) in
the SIP_Sets/5xi directory, or on Extranet distributor. The files 51i.txt, 53i.txt, 55i.txt and 57i.txt
contain the software version of the firmware.
Respect the firmware filenames:
• 51i.st
• 53i.st
• 55i.st
• 57i.st
9.12.4.2 Modifying SIP phone configuration files
• Copy the configuration files from the remote site to a PC directory.
• Modify the configuration files locally.
• Copy the modified files to the tftpboot directory of the remote site.
• Restart the SIP phones (by cutting the power supply, or via the WEB interface).
