Check the pressure of each tyre,
including the space-saver spare wheel,
approximately every two weeks and
before long journeys: the pressure
should be checked with the tyre rested
and cold.

It is normal for the pressure to increase
when the car is used; for the correct
tyre inflation pressure, see the
“Wheels” paragraph in the “Technical
specifications” chapter.

Anormal pressure: tread evenly worn.
B low pressure: tread particularly worn
at the edges.
C high pressure: tread particularly worn
in the centre.
The tyres must bereplaced when the
tread is less than 1.6 mm thick. In any
case, follow the laws in force in the
country where you are driving.
WARNINGS
As far as possible,avoid sharp
braking, screech starts and violent
shocks against pavements, potholes
or other hard obstacles. Driving for
long stretches over uneven roads can
damage the tyres;
periodically check that the tyres have
no cuts in the sidewall, abnormal
swelling or irregulartyre tread wear.

avoid overloading the car when
travelling: this maycause serious
damage to the wheels and tyres;
if a tyre is punctured, stop
immediately and replace it to
avoid damage to the tyre, the rim,
suspension and steering system;
tyres age even if they are not used
much. Cracks in the tread and on
the sidewalls are asign of ageing. In
any event, have the tyres checked by
specialised technicians if they have
been fitted for longer than 6 years. Also
remember to check the space-saver
spare wheel withparticular care;
in the case of replacement, always fit
new tyres, avoiding those of unknown
origin;
if a tyre is changed, also change the
inflation valve;
to allow even wear between the front
and rear tyres, it isadvisable to change
them over every 10–15 thousand
kilometres, keepingthem on the same
side of the car to avoid inverting the
direction of rotation.
SNOWTYRES
Use snow tyres of the same size as the
standard tyres provided with the car.

provide advice concerning the most
suitable type of tyre for the Customer's
requirements.

For the type of tyre to be used, inflation
pressures and thespecifications of
snow tyres, followthe instructions
given in the "Wheels" paragraph in the
"Technical specifications" chapter.
The winter featuresof these tyres are
reduced considerably when the tread
depth is below 4 mm. Replace them in
this case.
Due to the specificcharacteristics
of snow tyres, in normal weather
conditions or on long motorway
journeys, the performance of these
tyres is lower thanthat of standard
tyres. Their usageshould therefore be
restricted in accordance with their type
approval.
