Check light beamalignment every time
the load or its distribution changes.
WARNING When the gas discharge
(Xenon) headlights(where provided) are
switched on, normally parabolas and
light beam move vertically for about 2
seconds until headlight alignment has
stabilised.

With the ignition keyin the MAR
position and the dipped headlights on,
press the
+ or – fig. 26 buttons to
adjust the headlight alignment.
The adjustment positions are shown on
the display.
Position 0 - one ortwo people in the
front seats.
Position 1 - 4 passengers.
Position 2 - 4 passengers + load in the
boot.
Position 3 - driver +maximum
permitted load stowed in the boot.
WARNING Gas discharge headlights
(Xenon headlights)are automatically
adjusted. Headlight alignment
adjustment is electronic and therefore
cannot be manually adjusted using the
+ and – buttons.

the fog lights properly adjusted.
ADJUSTINGTHE
HEADLIGHTSABROAD
Dipped beam headlights are adjusted
for driving in the country where the
vehicle was originally purchased. When
travelling in countries with opposite
driving direction, toavoid dazzling
the drivers on theother side of the
road, you need tocover areas of the
headlight accordingto the Highway
Code of the country you are travelling
in.

The daytime runninglightsare an
alternative to the dipped headlights while
driving during the daytime in countries
where it is compulsory to have lights on
during the day; where it is not compulsory,
the use of daytimerunning lights is
permitted.

Daytime running lights cannot replace
dipped beam headlights when driving
at night or through tunnels. The use
of daytime running lights is governed
by the highway code of the country in
which you are driving. Comply with legal
requirements.
INTERIORLIGHTS
FRONTCEILINGLIGHT
The fig. 27 lens canbe set to three
positions:
right side pressed
: light always on;
left side pressed
: light always off;
central position (neutral)
: the light
switches on and off when the doors are
opened or closed.
