“DUALDRIVE” ELECTRIC POWERSTEERING FAILURE
When thekey isturned toMAR, thewarning lightswitches onbut itshould switchoff aftera fewseconds.
Ifthe warning lightstays on,on someversions alongwith adedicated messageon thedisplay, youmay nothave
steering assistanceand theeffort requiredto operatethesteering wheelcould benotably increased;steering is,
however, possible.

Ifthe warning lightswitches onwhile driving(on someversions, togetherwith adedicated message onthe
display) youmay nothave steeringassistance. Although itwillstill bepossible tosteer thecar, theeffort needed
to operatethe steeringwheel couldbe increased:contact anAbarth Dealership assoon aspossible.
IMPORTANT Insome circumstances, factorsindependent ofthe electricpower steering couldcause thewarning
light ontheinstrumentpanel toswitch on.In thiscase, stopthe carimmediately (shouldit bein motion),stop
the enginefor about20 secondsand thenrestart theengine. Ifthe warninglight stayson, contactan Abarth
Dealership.
IMPORTANT Afterthe batteryis disconnected, thesteering mustbe initialised.The warninglight switcheson to
indicate this.To carryout thisprocedure, simplyturn thesteering wheelall theway fromone endto theother or
drive inastraight linefor aboutahundred metres.
