The car is equipped with ISOFIX
anchorages, a new standard which
makes fitting a childrestraint system
quick, simple and safe.
The ISOFIX systemlets you install
the ISOFIX child restraining system
without using the car seat belts but
connecting themdirectly to the car
seat with three anchorages in the car.
Traditional child restraint systems
can be fitted alongside ISOFIX child
restraint systemson different seats in
the same vehicle.
To install an ISOFIXchild restraint
system, attach it to the two metal
anchors (1) fig. 79 located in the rear
seat cushion, in the point where the
seat cushion meets the backrest,
remove the parcel shelf and fix the
upper strap (provided with the child
restraint system) to the dedicated
anchor (2) fig. 80 located at the bottom
of the seat back.
WARNING The central rear seat is not
approved for any type of ISOFIX child
restraint system.
fig. 81 shows an example of a Universal
ISOFIX child restraint system for weight
group 1.
