CAUTION! Placing the switch in the hazardous area means that the switch and its
connection MUST comply with the ex-regulations. Observe that the hazardous area
also includes areas just outside any spray booth opening as shown in Figure 42.

An ex type initiator may be used as alternative to a switch. Such a switch device in
conjunction with a transformer isolated barrier can be installed as shown in
Alternative B.
