Switch the instrument off,
then on.
Check the operating head
alignment by running the
Head Up/Down Test (see
Chapter 5, Section G).
Check the probe and stir/
freeze wire alignment
(see Chapter 5, Section
H).
Visually check for a
sample tube stuck on the
mandrel or other similar
mechanical cause.
a. Clear and discard the
stuck sample tube or
other visible cause of
the malfunction.
b. Check that the probe
and stir/freeze wire are
still in proper position
(see Chapter 5, Section
H).
c. Press STOP to reset the
instrument.
d. Remove the interrupted
cassette. To finish test-
ing it, remove already
tested samples and
place the cassette all
the way to the left in
the input deck.
e. Press START to con-
tinue testing. If the
problem recurs, see
Chapter 5, Section C
for further assistance.
Re-align the probe
and stir/freeze wire as
necessary (see Chapter
5, Section H).
If the error message
persists, see Chapter 5,
Section C for further
assistance.
