4 Preparing the Module
Setting up an Analysis

Open the purge valve of your pump (by turning it counterclockwise) and set
flow rate to 3–5mL/min.

Flush all tubes with at least 30 mL of solvent.

Set flow to required value of your application and close the purge valve.
Requirements and Conditions
What You Will Need
The table below lists the items you need to have for the set up of the analysis.
Some of these are optional (not required for the basic system).
NOTE
Pump for approximately 10minutes before starting your application.
NOTE
Do NOT exceed the flow rate of the 1290 Infinity II RID (Micro) whilst purging
pump. Bypass detector when purging >1mL/min.

Column Compartment (optional)
Agilent CDS
System should be correctly set up for LAN communication
with the Agilent ChemStation
Column: Zorbax Eclipse XDB-C18, 4.6 x 150 mm, 5 µm (993967-902)
or an equivalent column
Standard: Agilent isocratic checkout sample (01080-68704)
