3. After selecting the “Ho”, release the [SETUP] button.
The current setting is shown on the Program/Data display.
4. Select “So” or “Su” by pressing the [HOLD]
button or the [OCT] button.
If “OF” is selected, the Hold function is OFF.
5. Press the [SETUP] button.
The EWI4000s returns to the “PLAY” mode
Selecting Portamento ON/OFF while touching the Glide plate
The EWI4000s converts the Glide information to MIDI Control Change No. 65
(Portamento) and No. 05 (Portamento Time) when touching the Glide plate. However,
some sound modules may change the sound by receiving the Portamento event. In this
case, it allows you to select the Portamento to Off , which does not transmit the
Portamento event even touching the Glide plate.
1. Press the [SETUP] button.
While pressing the [SETUP] button, “Ad” is shown on
the program/Data display.
2. While pressing the [SETUP] button, select “Po” (Portamento)
by pressing the [HOLD] button.
It allows you to select the setup parameter by pressing the [HOLD]
button or the [OCT] button while pressing the [SETUP] button.
3. After selecting “Po”, release the [SETUP] button.
The “on” is shown on the Program/Data display.
“on” : Transmits a MIDI Control Change No. 65 ( Portamento).
“OF” : Does not transmit a MIDI Control Change No. 65 ( Portamento) .
4. Select the “on” or “Of” by pressing the [HOLD] button or the [OCT] button.
5. Press the [SETUP] button.
The EWI4000s returns to the “PLAY” mode.
Note: If you press any button except the [SETUP], [TRANS], [HOLD], and [OCT] button,
your setting MIDI event is ignored and it returns to the original setting.
