Trouble shooting
No sound !
•
Check that the amplifier, mixer or headphones are appropriately connected to the EWI4000s.
Refer to the connections section of the manual for additional information. (page 8)

Check that the EWI4000s is powered on, and that the instrument’s batteries are cor-
rectly inserted, or the EWI4000s is correctly connected to the proper AC adaptor. Re-
fer to battery and AC adaptor section of the manual for additional information. (page 7)
• Check that the Main Volume level is not set to zero. Refer to adjusting the volume
section of the manual for additional information. (page 25)
• Check that the Breath Sensor is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the Breath Sensor
adjustment section of the manual for additional information. (page 15).
Cannot change the pitch
• Check that the Touch Sensor sensitivity is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the touch
sensor sensitivity section of the manual for additional information. (page 18).
Endless sound (sound held on)
• Check that the Breath Sensor is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the Breath Sensor
adjustment section of the manual for additional information. (page 15)
Cannot match the tune with other instrument

Check that the EWI4000s’ tuning function is appropriately set to match other instruments.

• Check that the Bend Sensor is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the adjusting the Bend
Sensor section of the manual for additional information. (page 16).
Cannot control the sound volume
• Check that the Breath Sensor is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the Breath Sensor
adjustment section of the manual for additional information. (page 15)
Cannot change the pitch immediately
• Check that the Glide Sensor is appropriately adjusted. Refer to the Glide Sensor
adjustment section of the manual for additional information. (page 17).
