Transferring Files Using a
Compact Flash Card
The PanelView Plus terminal allows you to copy or load files using a
compact flash card from RSView ME. To copy files in RSView ME
using a compact flash card, see page 4-17.

Upgrading Firmware
The Firmware Upgrade Wizard upgrades terminal firmware using:
• compact flash card
• Serial connection or network connection using RSLinx Enterprise
(for supported protocols) from a desktop computer
This wizard is available from the customer support website.
Start the Firmware Upgrade Wizard and follow the instructions. It
provides options for upgrading firmware on a connected terminal or
creating a firmware upgrade card for later use with a terminal. The
first dialog of the wizard looks like this.
IMPORTANT
For details on transferring .MER applications from a
computer to the PanelView Plus terminal, refer to
RSView Studio help or documentation.
Select to create a firmware upgrade card. You
can then use this card to upgrade the firmware
in the terminal. See page 7-8.
Enabled only if you select Create firmware
upgrade cards.
Select to upgrade terminal firmware from a
computer using network connection (via RSLinx
Enterprise), Ethernet connection or serial connection.
