5.5 Electrical connection
DANGER

Have all electrical work carried out by qualified electricians
only.

Isolate the motor from its supply voltage and keep it locked
inthatstatewhencarryingoutanyfitting or maintenance
work.
5.5.1 Connecting the motor
Follow the instructions of the motor manufactu rer.
1. Connect the motor according to the connection diagram.
2. Make sure no danger arises due to electric power.
3. Install an EMERGENCY S TOP switch.
5.5.2 Checking the direction of rot atio n
Only po ssible when putting the pump into service
(→ 6.1 Preparations for the initial start-up, Page 19).
5.6 Installing the coupling guard
Flanged drive
1. Install the coupling guard (2 x 685.01) on the bell housing.
5.7 Performing the hydrostatic test
Only required if the entire system is subject to a hydrostatic
test.
NOTE
Damage to equipment through bursting of the pump cas-
ing
The test pressure may n ot exceed the maximum permissi-
ble pump pressure (→ o r der data sheet).
1. Carry out the hydrostatic test w ith heat-transfer o il.
2. Ensure that the test pressure does not exceed the maxi-
mum permissible pump pressure.
