To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
Disconnect electric power to the dryer before servicing.
Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer before servicing.
Never start the dryer with any guards/panels removed.
Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

Disconnect electric
power to dryer and
check for broken,
loose or incorrect
wiring.

Measure resistance between
wires going to thermistor.
Is zero Ohms read?
Remove front panel and
disconnect the thermistor.
Check resistance across
terminals.
Is zero Ohms read?
Disconnect electric power to
dryer and replace thermistor.

Is machine in a NO HEAT cycle?
Disconnect electric power to dryer
and remove the control hood and
verify that orange wire is securely
attached to E3 on board. Reconnect
electric power to dryer and verify
that voltage is being applied
between terminals E1 and E2.
Approximately 120 Volts between E1
and E2?
Disconnect electric power to dryer.
With an Ohm meter, verify that
TIMER switches are correct for the
cycle per Figure 66.
Disconnect thermistor connector.
Disconnect electric power to dryer.
Disconnect wire from terminal E3 on
control. Disconnect thermistor leads
at thermistor. Hook volt meter to E3
and E2 on control. This will simulate
a call for heat.
Reconnect electric power to dryer.
Turn Dryness Control to maximum
and timer to the beginning TIME
DRY cycle. Press start.
Approximately 120 Volts between E3
and E2 in five seconds?
Disconnect electric power to dryer
and check motor switch, limit
thermostat, heater or gas valve and
all wiring.
