A.14 WARNINGS FOR USE WITH MANUAL EXTENSIONS
There are additional specific hazards for cranes with manual extensions as listed below:
• Hazards resulting from structural failure of a manual extension
• Crushing and cutting hazard for fingers during mounting, extraction, retraction.
• Impact hazard during extraction and retraction of extension.
• Hazard from putting the body under excessive strain when lifting manual extensions
WARNINGS
- The rated capacity of a manual extension remains constant when varying the working radius and
the boom inclination: the rated capacity is indicated in the load chart, in the plate applied on the
extension and given in the user manual.
Never lift loads exceeding the rated capacity of the extension.
The operator can use only manual extensions supplied by the crane manufacturer.
