A.16 WARNINGS FOR USE WITH DRILL
There are additional specific hazards for cranes equipped with a drill as listed below:
• Entrapment, crushing and cutting hazard for upper and lower limbs on the drill body.
• Flying loose material hazard caused by drill operation.
• Impact and cutting hazard during drill operation.
• Structural damage and tipping hazard if the drill penetrates the ground but is unable to expel
material.
WARNINGS
- Keep away from the area in which the drill is operating.
- Correct functioning of the drill occurs when material is released from the excavation. If the drill
tends to penetrate the ground without material being released, stop work immediately and remove
the drill from the ground by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.
