B.5.3 MOMENT LIMITER
The purpose of the moment limiter is to protect the crane's structure from overload and ensure
machine stability. It constantly detects the pressure in the 1st boom cylinder and intervenes when
the lifting moment exceeds the setting value.
When a overload condition is reached, the crane movements are blocked according to the figure
below.
NO CE MOMENT LIMITER
To remove the overload condition, it is necessary to retract the hydraulic extensions until the lifting
moment falls below the setting value.
When the 1st boom cylinder is fully extended, the moment limiter could intervene even if the
crane is not loaded. To unblock the crane proceed as follows:
1) Push three/four times repeatedly the lever operating the hydraulic extensions.
2) Close the 1st boom cylinder slowly.
