B.8.2 LOW-TEMPERATURE ENVIRONMENTS
The crane is designed to withstand the maximum stresses when the environmental temperature is
within the range given in B.3.3. When the environmental temperature is below the allowable range,
then a derating factor shall be applied to the max. working pressure, as follows:
p
r
= κ
T
· p
max
where:
κ
T
is the derating factor to apply when working in low-temperatures environments
p
r
is the reduced pressure
p
max
is the max. working pressure under standard conditions
The table below shows the value of κ
T
as the environmental temperature changes.

B.8.3 HIGH BASE INCLINATION
The crane can slew freely and safely the rated loads when the base inclination is below the max.
permitted value given in B.3.3 and D.1. If the base inclination is higher than the maximum permitted,
then a derating factor shall be applied to the max. working pressure, as follows:
p
r
= κ
i
· p
max
where:
κ
i
is the derating factor to apply if the base inclination is higher than the maximum permitted
p
r
is the reduced pressure
p
max
is the max. working pressure under standard conditions
The graphic below shows the trend of κ
i
as the inclination changes, for history classes S2 and S1
(see B.2).
