8.2 Classic/Route/Operator Emissivity
In‘Classic’‘Route’&‘OperatorEmissivity’modes,triggeroperationisthesame.
InClassicMode,allfourmeasuredprocessedtimefunctions(Peak,
Instantaneous,Average[MeltmasterinC055]andValley)aredisplayedonthe
sideLCDpanel.InRoute/OperatorEmissivitymodes,onlythepreselectedtime
functionisdisplayed.

Whenthetriggerispressed:
• thedisplaysareupdatedat0.5sintervals
• temperaturevaluesarestreamedserially,viaBluetoothandUSB(See
Section7.4.15andAppendixA1)
Whenthetriggerisreleased:
• displaysarefrozenwiththenalvalue
• streamingstops–a‘hold’codeissent(SeeAppendixA1)
• andallfourtemperaturetypesarestoredinternally(ifrecordingis
enabled)
8.3 Burst
‘Burst’operationcanbeusedformonitoringrapidchangesoftemperature,or
recordingatemperatureprole,suchasalongstripofmaterial.
Whenthetriggerispressed,theinstantaneoustemperatureisstreamedat
themaximumcollectionrate(approximately33readingspersecond)via
Bluetooth,or(ifenabled)recordedtointernalmemory.Thismodeofoperation
isdenotedbytheinternaldisplay‘blinking’inunisonwiththesounder‘beeping’
(ifswitchedon)atapproximately0.5secondintervals.
Whenthetriggerisreleased,a2-piecedatapacketisaddedtothereadings,
givingtheemissivityandwindowtransmissionfactorvalues.
