Making Connections
Single-Unit:
- Connect a Thunderbolt cable from the Mac to either of the Symphony I/O Mk II’s ports.
Multi-Unit:

Connect one Thunderbolt cable from the Mac to either port of the unit intended to be the Master Unit A.

Using a second Thunderbolt cable, connect from the remaining Thunderbolt port on Master Unit A, to either of the
second unit’s Thunderbolt port.
A Word Clock connection must also be made between the two units:

Using BNC Word Clock cable, connect from the Master unit’s WC OUT port to the second unit’s WC IN port.
Precautions when powering Symphony On/Off
Before powering on, ensure that any speakers or amplifiers connected to Symphony’s analog outputs are powered off,
or the volume turned down to the minimum setting. This will prevent audible “pops” that may occur as the unit boots
up.

Power off speakers and disconnect headphones

Power on speakers and connect headphones
Likewise, before powering Symphony off, ensure any speakers or amplifiers connected to Symphony’s analog outputs
are powered off, or the volume turned down to the minimum setting.
