The doors are secured with a spring-loaded latch when
they are shut.
Always verify that all doors are closed and fully latched
before driving.
The half-doors on the FUV are designed to help shield
the occupants from ordinary weather conditions.
Do not rely in any way on these doors to contain
occupants within the vehicle, or to protect against injury
or death in the event of an accident. Always wear seat
belts (see page 57).
Failure to follow these warnings could lead to serious
injury or death.
Always check for traffic before opening the doors.
Never open the door of an FUV on the side adjacent to
moving traffic unless and until it is safe to do so, and can
be done without interfering with the movement of other
traffic.
Never leave a door open on the side of an FUV adjacent
to moving traffic for a period of time longer than
necessary to load or unload passengers.
