SAFETY
DANGER: DONOT allow any metal
objects (tools, jewelery) inside the front
access portal or near any of the internal
components. Doing so exposes you to
potential arc-flash risk, electrocution, and
voids the warranty.
There is a risk of fatal injury.
Drive Conditions
To avoid a loss of control that could result in injury or
death, heed all of the following drive conditions:
NEVER:
l NEVER drive the FUV if you are under the age of 16
or without an appropriate driver’s license. Note that
state regulations vary for 3- wheeled vehicles.
Review your local laws regarding the operation of a
3-wheeled motorcycle.
l NEVER drive the FUV if you are fatigued, or under
the influence of drugs or alcohol. Fatigue, alcohol,
and drugs (including some over-the-counter drugs)
can cause drowsiness, loss of coordination and loss
of balance. They can also affect your awareness and
judgment.
l NEVER drive the FUV unless all occupants are able
to sit with backs against the seats and feet firmly on
the floorboard with seat belts fastened.
l NEVER allow children under the age of 12 years to
drive or ride in the FUV.
l NEVER leave children unattended in a parked or
standing FUV.
l NEVER allow persons who weigh less than 88 lbs or
those who are less than 4’–11 tall (regardless of
age) to drive or ride in the FUV.
l NEVER drive the FUV with a child seat or booster
seat installed. See page 57 for details.
l NEVER drive the FUV while distracted. While
