Troubleshooting Chart for the First Step Select Therapy System
Problem Cause Remedy
Therapy control unit is ON,

Heater not operating properly. Return therapy control unit for repair.
Therapeutic surface feels warmer
than expected.
Warmer is on too high or warmer is not
operating properly.
Turn warmer OFF. Recheck after 10
minutes. If therapeutic surface is still
too warm, return therapy control unit
for repair.
Therapeutic surface does not respond
when InstaFlate is activated.
Hoses kinked or not properly
connected.
Therapy control unit may be damaged.
Ensure hoses are free of kinks and
properly connected.
Return therapy control unit for repair.
Therapeutic surface does not respond
