Setting
up
the
UNIX
PC
Caution
The
UNIX PC
RS-232
port
cannot
be
configured
as
both
a
host
and
a
caller
at
the
same
time.
When
two
computers
are
connected,
one
must
be
designated
as
the
"caller"
and
the
other
as
the
"host."
Connecting
two
host
computers
via
the
RS-232
ports
causes
erratic
behavior
on
both
machines.

<Mark>
until
you
see
the
appropriate
entry.
o
Press
<Enter>.
An
information
message
tells
you
the
RS-
232
port
is
set
up.
o
Press
<Enter>
to
continue
working.

If
you
are
using
the
Other
selection
to
configure
a
special
device,
a
form
requesting
the
device
name
and
type
of
connection
appears.
In
most
cases,
you
will
select
CALLER
only
if
the
device
receives
output
only
from
the
UNIX
PC.
Refer

the
manual
for
the
device
you
are
configuring
for
more
information.
Setting
Up
ExPansion
Ports
When
you
install
expansion
boards
containing
RS-232
ports
and
the
accompanying
RS-232
Expansion
software,
a
new
selection
is
added
to
the
Hardware
Setup
menu.
This
new
selection
is
RS-232
Expansion
Setup.
You
must
use
this
selection
and
choose
the
expansion
port
number
to
be
configured
before
configuring
the
expansion
port.
To
set
up
an
expansion
port:
1
Point
to
I
Administration
I
in
the
Office
of
install.

Press
<Enter>.
You
see
the
Administration
menu.
