2. Important Safety Instructions
CAUTION:
Emergency access • If your facility has no pedestrian entrance door, an emergency access device
should be installed.
Entrapment under
operating door
• DO NOT operate the opener unless the shutter is in full view and free from objects
such as cars and children/people. Make sure that the shutter has finished moving
before entering or leaving the premises.
• Do not allow children to play with shutter controls or transmitters.
• Ensure the shutter is in good working order by undertaking regular servicing.
• For ADDITIONAL SAFETY protection we STRONGLY recommend the fitting of a
Safety (Photo Electric) Beam.
• Safety beams must be installed if the closing force at the bottom edge of the door
exceeds 400N (40kg)
Installation • Frequently examine the installation, in particular, springs and mountings for signs
of wear, damage or imbalance. DO NOT use if repair or adjustment is needed
since a fault in the installation or an incorrectly balanced shutter may cause injury.
DO NOT attempt to repair the shutter yourself as hardware is under extreme
tension.
• The shutter must be well balanced and in good working order. Shutter springs,
brackets and their hardware are under extreme tension and can cause serious
personal injury. Do not attempt to adjust them. A faulty shutter must be repaired
by a industrial roller shutter professional prior to opener installation.
• Remove or disengage all shutter locks and mechanisms prior to installation of the
opener.
• Ensure no parts of the shutter or installation extend over public paths or roads.
• After installation a full function test of the system and safety devices must be
done.
Security • Make sure the shutter is fully closed before leaving the driveway. .
Entanglement in

• Keep hands and loose clothing clear of shutter and opener at all times.
