4.5.4 I/O interface
Connect the slicer to a packaging machine, foil or tray dispenser:

Remove the catch of the interface on
the left side of the slicer.
Insert synchronization plug into inter-
face.
Input signal
Via the communication interface, the slicer receives a signal that stops the carriage of the
slicer at the product loading position.
As soon as the carriage is stopped, an Attention icon flashes on the display.
The slicer also receives a signal to proceed via the communication interface.
Interruptions options:
1. The carriage stops immediately.
2. The current portion is completed before stopping the carriage. The last cut portion is
discharged only after the slicer continues working.
The kind of interruption and the respective parameters can only be modified by a service
technician in the service menu.
Modifications are valid for all PLU.
Output signal
Via the communication interface, the slicer sends a signal that can be assigned to the fol-
lowing functions:
1. Signal for depositing the tray on a conveyor belt before a portion starts (e.g. to a tray
dispenser)
2. Signal for depositing squares of foil between the single slices (e.g. to a foil dispenser)
3. Signal for starting discharge (e.g. to a packaging machine)
The assigned functions and the respective parameters can only be modified by a service
technician in the service menu.
Modifications are valid for all PLU.
