Encoding of negative value – Appears if an attempt is
made to encode a nega-
tive value in a barcode.
– Negative values cannot
be encoded in a barcode.
If you want to call up a
PLU with a negative unit
price, use the piece num-
ber code.

The text was not saved !
– Appears in the PLU main-
tenance when entering
PLU text.
– Shorten and save PLU
text. The maximum value
is 500 characters / 20
lines.
The two messages ap-
pear one after the other.

– Check the values for the
foreign currency used in
"Data maintenance" /
"Foreign currencies".
– Check the programming
of the keyboard. "Data

Switch device on/off, con-

– Appears if adjustment has
not been correctly per-
formed during the self-ad-
justment process on the
printer, e.g.: no paper in-
serted, end of paper dur-
ing adjustment.
– After switching off/on, the
adjustment process is au-
tomatically repeated.
EDP connection not avail-
able !
– Appears during continu-
ous ticket call by EDP.
– Check connection cable
from SC II to PC.
– Check PC connection.
Incorrect check digit – Appears when scanning a
PLU.
– Check barcode print for-
mat for dot omissions.
– If the EAN no. was en-
tered manually via the
keyboard, check the en-
try.
