Destination input Entering a destination address manually
Note the following special features:
> You can correct the last input
with . To delete the entire input
line, hold the right-hand rotary con-
trol pressed
> The wordmatch principle makes the
input of names easier. This principle
enables you to enter alternative spell-
ings and automatically completes a
name that has been recognised be-
yond doubt, see page 45
> Selection of a country, city or road
can be interrupted at any time by
selecting
> If the inputs in a selection menu are
not made within eight seconds, this
process will have to be repeated.
Selecting destination country
If the name of a country appears on the
monitor in white letters, data for more
than one country are stored on the map
CD.
To select Germany as the destination
country:
1. Turn right-hand rotary control until
the name of the country displayed is
highlighted.
The display now shows: "Country?"
2. Press right-hand rotary control.
A list of available countries is dis-
played
3. Select "Deutschland" (Germany).
The selection is transferred to the
destination input.
You can skip input of the country
or place if you wish to retain
previous inputs.<
