5 Operating
5.1 Configuring Ethernet interface
To configure the controller in a TCP/IP network environment, use the controllers IPConfig tool
of the access control system. The tool is delivered with the access host system software.
Refer to the online help of the IPConfig for details on configuring the controller.
For further information refer to the documentation of the corresponding access system.
To ensure that the controller can communicate with the software follow these naming rules:
Use only alphanumeric characters plus the seperator "-" (minus/dash).
Do not use special characters or spaces.
The network name must start with a letter.
The names are not case sensitive.

Notice!
The AMC2 can be renamed through the controllers IPConfig tool with a name that is not
longer than 14 characters. The name has to fulfill the requirements of NetBIOS.
