B Series Degreaser Maintenance
Rev G Page 104
Check that solvent from the condensing coil the does not drip on the Ready probe. Ben

t
he probe as required.
Check that the solvent is boiling in the boil sump.
If the solvent is not boiling and the HEAT Indicator is lighted, check the boil sump
heater fuses for continuity and then the heater current draw (See wiring schematics)
If the solvent is boiling, check the amperage draw on the heater (See schematics.) If
the amp draw is normal, insulate the sides of the degreaser to reduce heat losses. If
the amp draw is low, make sure that the heater rated voltage matches the line
voltage.
5.12.8 No Recirculation Flow.
The following checks assume that the RECIRC indicator is lighted.
Pump motor does not operate: Check fuses F6 and F7. Check voltage. If 200-240 volts are
present, the pump motor is defective. If voltage is not present, controller may be defective.
Pump motor operates: Check that both shut-off valves are open. Check for a clogged filter.
Purge air from the filter by opening the air bleed plug on the filter cover.
5.12.9 Compressor Rotation Noise
Scroll compressors will typically make a loud noise if run backwards. Scroll Compressors
will only compress in one rotational direction. Direction of rotation is not an issue with
single-phase compressors since they will always start and run in the proper direction. Three-
phase compressors will rotate in either direction depending upon phasing of the power. Since
there is a 50-50 chance of connecting power in such as way as to cause rotation in the reverse
direction, it is important to check the rotation of the compressor upon start up.
5.12.10 Spray Does Not Operate.
Note: The spray will not operate unless the READY Indicator is lighted.
The following checks assume that the READY Indicator is lighted and that the foot switch is
being pressed.
Pump motor does not operate: Check fuses F10 and F11. Check voltage. If 200-240 volts
are present, the pump motor is defective. If voltage is not present, controller may be
defective.
Pump motor operates: Check that there is solvent in the spray reservoir. Check that the
outlet to the spray pump is not blocked. Check that the shut-off valve is open. Check that the
spray hose and nozzle are not clogged.
5.12.11 Ultrasonics Do Not Operate Series 7000 Option
Warning: HIGH VOLTAGE! Disconnect the B Series from the electrical supply before
troubleshooting the ultrasonics.
Note: Follow these instructions in EXACT sequence or the results of your troubleshooting may be
incorrect.
